QUICK & CRAFTY NOTES

* If the neckline of a shirt is too high, cut off the collar and you will have a cute, comfortable shirt (the perfect cut shows off your collar bones).
* Want a simple way to
spice up boring shoes? Use a hot glue gun to paste pieces of pretty ribbon on your shoes. You can also glue on sequins or rhinestones. Be creative!
*
Save money on jewelry by crafting it yourself. Go to fabric/craft stores for beads and supplies, and make it more fun by having a friend join you.
* Recycle old magazines by cutting out cool fashion spreads. Fold the pages (leave a little room at the top for a flap) and tape the sides and you will have
cute envelopes to send letters to your friends in.
MAKE YOUR OWN BAG

You'll Need:
* Fabric
*Needle & thread
* Buttons, lace, ribbons, etc.

Measure two pieces of fabric to the size you desire and sew together along the sides. To make a lid, sew an extra smaller piece on one side and where it meets on the other side, place a button or snap. Decorate your bag with buttons, lace or ribbons and make it truly unique.
D.I.Y. LEG WARMERS

You'll Need:
* An old sweater
* Ribbon
* Needle & thread

Cut the arms off an old sweater (that has arms that will fit around your legs). Sew the edges of the arms so your leg warmers won't unravel and at the top of your legwarmers, weave colorful ribbon. You can tie it in a bow if you want to.

A Great Idea From Crafty Chica!

Kathy Cano Murillo of CraftyChica.com had such a great idea that we couldn't help but spread the news. Take old Scrabble letters and make ornaments out of them. Glue a ribbon to the backs of the letters and decorate however else you desire. You can even make them into necklaces or keychains. Photo to the left is from the Crafty Chica's palace itself.
