| Q. What is GIRL STUFF? GIRL STUFF Publishers was founded in 1998 and for more info, check out our About Us page. Q. Why did you start Hip Chick Zine & what's the typical audience? HCZ actually started as an e-zine published by GIRL STUFF and later was formed into a website. I have always enjoyed designing websites and journalism/writing. I am especially interested in issues affecting modern young women and wanted to tie in other passions for travel and style. HCZ is intended to be a fun and intelligent website for the college age woman... but really, anyone is welcome and encouraged to visit (grandmas and guys, this means you too). Q. I see that you review boutiques. How can I get mine on the site? We love writing about hip boutiques run by cool chicks. Please let us know if you're the creator of a shop or know of one. We also have a free graphic you can place on your site to direct customers to your review on HCZ. Q. I'm part of a band/write a zine. Can I send you a CD/copy of my zine for a review? Yes! We love reviewing CDs and zines of all genres and different subjects. If you e-mail us, we'll send you the info you need to mail your stuff to us. Please send us some background info in your e-mail. Q. I want to write/model for HCZ. We love reader contributions! Submit your work for possible publication. What we accept: stories, DIY tips, reader art and photography (note: please write to us about your art/photos before sending them to us), trend reports, interviews with strong women/bands, etc., questions for advice columns and reviews. We're also looking for reader models so get in touch and appear on the website! Q. Do you accept advertising/sponsors? At this time, we do not, but we would love companies who would like to donate products for contests. E-mail us if you're interested. We also love exchanging links and will include you on the website for free. Neither HCZ nor GIRL STUFF Publishers makes any profit from this website. Q. I don't agree with ___ article on your website. HCZ is supposed to be a thought-provoking site, so whether you don't agree with our inclusion of make-up products or our pro-choice/liberal stand, we hope to cover a variety of topics that may or may not be covered by mainstream media. We know that the average HCZ reader is bright, independent and bursting with opinions and we welcome your comments. |
