SAVING GRACE
A small town British widow with a green thumb
named Grace who thinks she is wealthy is
shocked to discover after her husband's death
that they were in fact a few hundred thousand
dollars in debt. Attempting to save herself from
having her house taken away, she joins with her
plant-savvy gardener Matthew to start growing
marijuana. Your sides will hurt from laughing from
this wonderful flick. Matthew's disapproving
pregnant girlfriend is eventually won over, as are
two adorable elderly women who visit Grace's
greenhouse and do not realize that the plants are
marijuana. They then proceed to make tea with it
and eat many corn flakes (hence the graphic on
our entertainment contents page). If you want a
funny, wonderful high, watch this "feel good"
movie.
MOSTLY MARTHA
In a fine German restuarant, Chef
Martha Klein is in charge and known
for her strong-willed disposition.
When her sister dies in a car accident,
she takes in her eight-year-old niece
who is equally as stubborn and while
Martha searches for the girl's
estranged father, she finds herself
growing fond of her. Things get
sweeter when a new Italian chef
named Mario lands at Martha's
restaurant. Martha must choose
between giving him a hard time or
perhaps letting him into her world. The
movie is charming and sometimes
comical, with outstanding acting and
delicious culinary treats.
