Photos and Info from Our Latest Event: "A Fashionable Evening Out"
When: Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 4PM
What started as a photo shoot at The Village Green Gallery in Weston, Vermont, for Hong Kong's hip, youthful label, Chocolate Martini, quickly turned into a fashion show, complete with local designers and independent shops in Vermont. In addition to Chocolate Martini, Vermont designer Robin Lane showcased her stunning, textured pieces. Taylor Lauren included colorful and classic warm weather apparel, complete with a couple Spring jackets that had many people drooling. Seychelles donated a funky print wrap dress to close out the eclectic ensemble. Jewelry was provided by Silverado and Vermont designer Rebecca Zelis, as well as Vermont's Lochlin Smith. Weleda supplied HCZ with tubes of its best-selling "Skin Food" lotion for our guests, LunaPads provided sampler packs with a calendar and stickers, and Emerita provided samples of its warming and natural lubricants. BECCA Cosmetics provided glossy postcards on their latest products, EatMoreKale.com had stickers, LUSH Cosmetics had stacks of their latest newspaper catalogs, and The Traveling Hoe Gardening let visitors know of their services.
The event included delicious gourmet munchies (scallops wrapped in bacon and phyllo dough-wrapped asparagus to name a couple), raffles (books, Pampered Chef wine glasses, lipsticks, make-up kits), and skin consultations with a Mary Kay representative. There was also a fabulous door prize that all attendees of course had the chance to win!
The fashion show was set to Caribbean/world music, with a very lively beat. SPECIAL THANKS to Gene Jennings, hairstylist extraordinaire, Annie Fuji'i at The Village Green Gallery, and all the wonderful models, for making it such a delightful, fun and successful evening!
